Project Killhouse

Killhouse is a passion project to explore the mechanics of modern first person shooters.
While this project has been mainly focused on exploring gunplay. I've delved further into exploring how to author and use assets to create even more reactive gameplay.

Gunplay

The mechanics and dynamics of using firearms, encompassing everything from aiming, shooting, reloading, to weapon handling.

Giving weapons their own unique characteristics through recoil and spread patterns.

The design and implementation of a Weapon Recoil system. The base for any first person shooter.

Using procedural and baked animations to create responsive and dynamic weapon animations.

Feedback elements play a huge role in the overall gun feel.

Improving readability and game feel through feedback mechanics. Using HUD elements, Visual Effects and Audio cues.
